Missoula MT Position Description :

VEC has a position available for an experienced Underground Utility Construction Directional Drill Operator in Missoula MT; pay is dependent upon previous experience skill level

Position Requirements :

• General knowledge in utility construction is a plus
• The horizontal drill operator must possess a valid Class "A" CDL (or be willing to obtain one) with a clean record; the locator must possess a valid Driver License with a clean record, a CDL is preferred
• Be willing to submit to pre-hire and random drug testing
• High School diploma or equivalent certification This person must operate effectively the following equipment: Directional Drilling Machine experienced in Underground Utilities
• Backhoe
• Excavator or Mini Excavator
• Loader (Skid steer or Large Wheel loader)
• Cable Plow (Rubber tire or Crawler)
• Rock saw

Trencher Wheel or Chain Position Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and perform all activities related to the operation of company owned, pool, and rental equipment
• Onsite quality assurance and quality control and complete work in the safest, most cost-effective manner possible.
• Complete red line drawings, daily reports, accident reports, equipment maintenance reports and any other required documentation on the project according to Supervisor instructions
• This position requires the ability to speak, read and write English, as well as b able to interpret blueprints, plans, project hazard analysis forms, instructions, manuals, and any other general company or specific project related safety documents
• Conduct on-site housekeeping inspections to leave a clean and debris-free work site.
• Must be able to lift and control equipment and materials up to 50 lbs, and the physical ability to navigate the jobsite safety VEC is a Jackson Infrastructure Company and an
