Company parties Competitive salary Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance We are seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator to join our team. As a Driller, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and machinery to horizontally bore utilities. This is a physically demanding role that requires mechanical knowledge and experience in operating equipment such as directional bore machines, excavators, dump/utility trucks, and loaders. A valid, clean driver's license is required.
Duties:
Operate and maneuver heavy equipment, including directional bore machines, excavators, trucks and trailers, loaders, and other machinery Work around utility locates to provide safe digging/drilling Perform drilling operations to dig holes and trenches for construction projects Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate drilling and excavation Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and procedures Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
Experience:
Preferably at least 2-3 years' experience or education/training equivalent in operating directional bore machines, excavators, trucks and trailers Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment operation Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
