About the Role We are seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Operator to join a dynamic field team focused on high-impact infrastructure projects. You will be instrumental in executing precise earthwork and site preparation, ensuring that every project phase is completed safely and efficiently using a variety of heavy machinery. Responsibilities Execute complex grading, trenching, and excavation tasks to support project timelines and site development goals. Operate and maintain heavy machinery including backhoes, excavators, mini excavators, and skid steers to ensure peak performance. Utilize specialized equipment such as trenchers, cable plows, and directional drill support tools to facilitate utility installations. Perform routine equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize operational output. Maintain rigorous safety standards, particularly when navigating sensitive underground utility environments. Coordinate with ground crews to ensure seamless material handling and site logistics. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 2 years of professional experience operating heavy construction equipment. Proven background in dirt work, excavation, and trenching site operations. Strong understanding of safety protocols and safe digging practices. Ability to work effectively in diverse outdoor weather conditions. Preferred Skills Valid CDL-A license. Advanced proficiency in heavy material handling and ground support operations. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with project managers and site teams.
