Construction Crew Manager Job Summary Are you a skilled equipment operator looking for a reliable, team-oriented environment? AW Broadband is seeking a Construction Crew - Drill Operator to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in installing and maintaining the essential infrastructure—including cable and fiber delivery systems—that keeps our community connected. What You Will Do (Job Responsibilities) As a vital member of our construction crew, your day-to-day duties will include:

Equipment Operation:

Skillfully operate horizontal boring machines, directional boring machinery, and other heavy equipment (tractors, ditch diggers, excavators, backhoes) for precise underground conduit installation.

Infrastructure Installation:

String, pull, and route cable and fiber-optic lines through underground conduits, pole attachments, and inside residential or commercial buildings.

Splicing & Maintenance:

Perform skilled work including fiber-optic splicing, cable plant maintenance, and line repairs to ensure top-tier internet and television services.

Testing & Quality Control:

Utilize specialized test equipment to verify signal strength and ensure strong, stable customer connections.

Safety & Compliance:

Recognize job site hazards and perform all duties safely while maintaining a clean, orderly environment that adheres to OSHA regulations and company policies.

Customer Service:

Communicate professionally with customers to keep them informed of project schedules or potential service issues. Job Requirements & Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

Experience:

Proven ability to operate hand/power tools, heavy earth-moving equipment, and horizontal/directional boring machinery.

Technical Skills:

Fundamental knowledge of computers, networks, and basic electronics; ability to operate bucket trucks at heights and climb various ladders.

Licensing & Background:

Must possess a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check.

Availability:

Punctual and consistent attendance, with the flexibility to work after hours and weekends as needed.

Mindset:

A positive attitude toward hard work, great problem-solving skills, and the capability to work with limited to no supervision. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding outdoor role.

Candidates must be able to:

Lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Operate heavy equipment safely for up to 8 hours a day. Work comfortably in confined spaces, at elevated heights, and in loud environments. Withstand working outdoors in all types of inclement weather (heat, cold, wind, and moisture). Stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, sit, and stand continuously throughout the shift. Why Join AW Broadband?
