Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Experienced Geotechnical Driller / SIMCO Drill Rig Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized drill rigs, including SIMCO systems, to perform geotechnical investigations and subsurface explorations. Your expertise will ensure precise drilling operations, adherence to safety standards, and efficient project execution. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and infrastructure projects, utilizing your technical knowledge and heavy equipment operation skills to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities Safely operate a SIMCO geotechnical drill rig. Perform soil borings generally ranging from 10, 15, 20 and 25 feet deep. Mobilize and set up drilling equipment at residential and commercial job sites. Obtain and properly handle soil samples according to project requirements. Maintain accurate boring logs, sample identification and field documentation. Perform routine inspection, cleaning and maintenance of the drill rig and support equipment. Identify and troubleshoot common mechanical, hydraulic and drilling issues. Coordinate with geotechnical engineers, laboratory personnel and project managers. Keep the drill rig, tools and work area clean, organized and job-ready. Follow company, OSHA and job-site safety procedures. Assist with loading, unloading and transporting drilling equipment and materials. Skills Documented experience operating SIMCO geotechnical drill rigs. Previous geotechnical, environmental or soil-sampling drilling experience. Ability to independently complete shallow soil borings up to approximately 25 feet. Working knowledge of drilling equipment, hydraulic systems and routine rig maintenance. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Dependable attendance and willingness to travel to job sites throughout the DFW area. Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, mud and changing weather conditions. Ability to safely lift and handle drilling tools, augers and soil samples. Strong commitment to job-site safety and proper equipment care.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
