HDD Locator - Underground Utilities/Fiber Construction Balsas Directional Drilling Houston, TX Job Details Full-time $23 - $25 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Infrastructure construction CDL Construction plans Directional drilling Underground utilities installation Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking an experienced HDD Locator to join our growing directional drilling team. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and experienced locating horizontal directional drilling operations for underground utility installation. Responsibilities Locate HDD drill heads using electronic locating equipment. Maintain accurate bore path and depth. Read construction plans and utility locates. Communicate continuously with the drill operator. Ensure bores are completed accurately and safely. Document completed work. Assist with jobsite setup and restoration. Follow all company safety procedures. Qualifications Minimum 2 years locating directional drills preferred. Experience locating fiber, telecom, gas, electric, or water utilities. Knowledge of DigiTrak or similar locating systems. Ability to interpret utility locate markings. Strong communication skills. Valid driver's license required. CDL preferred. Willingness to travel Preferred qualifications include experience working with underground utilities or fiber optic deployment is highly valued.
