This role involves working with various materials and utilizing a range of cutting tools and equipment to perform drilling, tapping, and broaching operations. The operator ensures the quality and accuracy of machined parts, troubleshoots machine malfunctions, performs routine maintenance, and adheres to safety protocols. The Drill & Tap/Broach Operator plays a crucial role in supporting production schedules, meeting quality standards, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Skilled use in precision measuring tools.
- Previous experience operating drill and tap machines and performing broaching operations in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts (up to 50 lbs.) when necessary.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
