In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing touches to drywall surfaces, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your expertise will help transform raw construction materials into polished, professional spaces. Responsibilities Finish drywall surfaces by taping, mudding, sanding, and applying texture to achieve a flawless appearance. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine finishing requirements. Use hand tools and power tools such as taping knives, sanders, drills, and mixers efficiently and safely. Coordinate with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to ensure proper installation and finishing of drywall around fixtures and structures. Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring smooth surfaces free of blemishes or imperfections. Apply caulking, trim carpentry, stucco, or other surface treatments as needed for final detailing. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal while adhering to safety protocols on the construction site. Qualifications Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction trades with knowledge of hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans. Strong understanding of construction processes including framing, plastering, concrete forming, masonry, and roofing is a plus. Knowledge of additional skills such as tile laying, flooring installation, painting, or welding is advantageous. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when required for site preparation or material handling. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
