In this role, you will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to achieve smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring each project is completed efficiently, safely, and with exceptional craftsmanship. Responsibilities Apply joint compound, tape, and finishing materials to drywall surfaces to create smooth, even finishes. Sand and smooth drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing work. Install corner beads, trims, and other accessories to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately measure and position drywall components. Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to coordinate project tasks effectively. Maintain a clean work area by removing debris and organizing tools throughout the project lifecycle. Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making necessary touch-ups or corrections promptly. Skills Strong knowledge of drywall installation techniques and finishing processes. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans with precision. Skilled in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing. Familiarity with related trades such as flooring installation, painting (including airless paint spraying), tile laying, and masonry. Ability to operate hand tools and power equipment safely on construction sites. Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation, and general renovation practices is a plus.
