POSITION SUMMARY
Grand Valley Repair is seeking a reliable and highly skilled Drywall Technician to join our team. We specialize in high-quality property repairs and remodeling across the Grand Valley. We are looking for a professional who has mastered the art of taping, mudding, and texturing. If you take pride in invisible patches, seamless joints, and maintaining a clean job site, we want to talk to you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drywall Finishing & Repair Taping & Mudding:
Apply tape and multiple coats of joint compound to drywall panels with high precision, ensuring perfectly smooth joints, corners, and fastener heads.
Texturing & Matching:
Expertly match existing wall and ceiling textures (such as orange peel, knockdown, or skip-trowel) for seamless, invisible repairs.
Sanding & Prepping:
Sand cured compound to a paint-ready finish, ensuring all surfaces are entirely free of defects, ridges, or tool marks.
Patchwork & Restoration:
Efficiently cut out, replace, and repair damaged drywall resulting from water, settling, or structural modifications.
Site Standards & Safety Property Protection:
Securely mask and cover flooring, furniture, and fixtures before starting any dust-heavy work.
Dust Mitigation:
Maintain a clean work environment using proper containment strategies and cleanup procedures.
Safety Protocol:
Adhere to all standard safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like respirators and safety glasses.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience specifically focused on drywall taping, mudding, and finishing.
Technical Skill:
Exceptional hand-eye coordination and mastery of standard finishing tools (trowels, taping knives, hawks, and sanding equipment).
Reliability:
Proven track record of showing up on time, communicating professionally, and completing jobs within the estimated timeframe.
Physical Capability:
Ability to stand, bend, and reach overhead for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Transportation:
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to navigate to various local job sites.
Pay:
From $27.00 per hour
