In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and installing drywall to transform spaces with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will contribute to residential, commercial, and renovation projects, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client expectations. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and drywall installation. Install drywall sheets accurately according to blueprints and schematics, including taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing for smooth walls and ceilings. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, airless spray systems, or other tools to achieve consistent coverage and vibrant finishes. Use hand tools such as trowels, putty knives, saws, drills, and caulking guns for various installation and finishing tasks. Perform plastering, stucco application, or masonry work as needed for restoration or renovation projects. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and ensure precise execution of painting and drywall tasks. Assist with other construction duties including fixture installation, trim carpentry, framing, or basic carpentry repairs to support project completion. Skills Strong knowledge of residential and commercial painting techniques along with construction painting standards. Experience with drywall installation, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing for seamless walls. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction painting and drywall work. Understanding of color theory to select appropriate paints and finishes for various spaces. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Familiarity with schematics related to fixture installation or renovation plans. Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations; experience with construction estimating is a plus. Knowledge of caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, plastering, masonry, welding or concrete finishing is advantageous. Prior construction site experience including safety protocols and maintenance routines. Handyman experience or experience with restoration projects enhances versatility on the job site.
