Position Overview As a Drywall Framer / Hanger, you will be responsible for installing light/heavy-gauge metal framing and drywall systems on commercial projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule. You will work both independently and as part of a crew to layout, frame, and hang interior and exterior systems that meet project specifications and company standards. Key ResponsibilitiesFraming (Metal Stud) Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and layout drawings Layout walls, ceilings, and partitions according to plans Ensure installation is at a high quality while maintaining production Measure, cut, and install metal studs, tracks, and bridging Anchor tracks to floors, ceilings, and structural components Ensure framing is plumb, level, square, while maintaining layout for finishes Drywall Hanging Ensure installation is at a high quality while maintaining production Measure and cut drywall to fit openings and penetrations Fasten drywall properly, ensuring proper screw depth Work efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining quality General Job Duties Operate tools and equipment including drills, screw guns, lasers, lifts, and powder-actuated tools Work on ladders, scaffolds, stilts (optional), and aerial lifts Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Follow project schedules and coordinate with other trades Communicate with foreman/superintendent on progress and issues Perform additional duties as assigned

QualificationsRequired 2-5+ years of experience in commercial drywall framing and/or hanging Ability to read blueprints and layout work independently Experience with metal stud framing and drywall systems Own basic tools and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work full shifts on your feet Ability to work safely at heights and in various job site conditions Ability to pass a drug test Ability to get badged (BPS,CCSFS,PSFB) Preferred Experience on large commercial or government projects Ability to properly install acoustical ceilings (ACT) OSHA certification (10 or 30) Skills & Traits We Value Strong work ethic and reliability Attention to detail and quality workmanship Team-oriented mindset with ability to work independently Accountability and professionalism on the job site Willingness to learn and grow within the company Work Environment Indoor and outdoor commercial construction sites Exposure to varying weather conditions Physical work including lifting, climbing, and overhead installation Fast-paced environment with production expectations Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Opportunities for advancement (Foreman, Lead roles) Steady, long-term work Training and skill development opportunities Why Work at Strategic Surfaces?
