The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation and a strong understanding of construction practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our projects are completed to the highest standards, contributing to the overall quality and aesthetics of the finished space. The successful applicant will work on various construction sites, collaborating with other tradespeople to deliver exceptional results. Duties Install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and blueprints. Measure and cut drywall to fit around doors, windows, and fixtures. Secure drywall panels using screws or nails, ensuring a tight fit and smooth finish. Perform metal stud framing as required for specific projects. Assist with door hanging and fixture installation as needed. Read and interpret schematics to accurately execute installation plans. Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks to ensure timely project completion. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations. Requirements Proven experience in drywall hanging or related construction roles. Familiarity with metal stud framing techniques is preferred. Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints. Experience in fixture installation, remodeling, or maintenance person services is a plus. Knowledge of construction estimating practices is beneficial. Background in the restoration industry is an asset. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
