Requirements:

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Drywall Helper to assist our Lead Drywall Finishers on residential construction projects throughout Chicago. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the drywall and finishing trade while learning industry best practices from experienced professionals. What you'll be doing: Assist drywall finishers with taping, mudding, sanding, and surface preparation Mix and prepare joint compounds and finishing materials Carry, stage, and organize tools, materials, and equipment Clean and prepare work areas before, during, and after projects Assist with drywall repairs, patching, and texture matching Learn proper finishing techniques and quality standards Follow directions from supervisors and lead finishers Maintain safe work practices and comply with company safety policies Perform general labor duties as assigned

Drywall Helper Skills/Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Chicago area Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work in a team environment Good attendance and punctuality

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

Previous construction or drywall experience Basic knowledge of hand and power tools OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain) Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Regular work conditions are indoors and include exposure to dust, cold, heat and humidity. Applicants looking for part-time positions will also be considered.
