Drywall Hanger and Finisher

Duties Measure, cut, hang, and secure drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and blueprints. Finish drywall joints by taping, mudding, sanding, and applying texture to achieve seamless surfaces. Install related components such as corner beads, trims, and fixtures to ensure a polished look. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans. Perform plastering, caulking, and sealing to enhance durability and finish quality of drywall surfaces. Assist with framing using metal studs or wood as needed for wall structures. Support other trades such as carpentry, plumbing, or masonry during project phases for efficient workflow. Experience Proven experience in drywall hanging and finishing on construction sites with a strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematics. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project timelines. Hands-on experience with plastering, taping, sanding, and texturing techniques. Knowledge of related skills including trim carpentry, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, and painting is highly desirable. Background in restoration industry work such as mold remediation or water damage restoration is a plus. Skilled in using hand tools and power equipment specific to drywall installation and finishing tasks. Prior involvement in remodeling projects or handyman work that demonstrates versatility across various construction disciplines.
