Job Description
About the Role Skillforce is seeking experienced Drywall Journeymen for ongoing projects in Las Vegas, NV. This position requires a strong understanding of drywall materials, tools, and installation techniques-both hanging and finishing to ensure all work meets quality standards and building codes. Candidates must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working efficiently in a team environment.
Pay:
$30-$32 per hour Minimum Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to provide proof of citizenship (Birth Certificate or U.S. Passport). Must be able to pass a background check. Proven experience as a drywall journeyman. Proficient in hanging, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing drywall. Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations related to drywall installation.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with advanced drywall finishing techniques including texturing and specialty coatings. Familiarity with the use of drywall lifts and other mechanical aids. Basic knowledge of related trades such as carpentry or painting. Strong communication skills and experience working in diverse team environments.Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, and install drywall panels on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces according to project specifications. Apply joint compound, tape seams, and sand surfaces to create smooth, even finishes ready for painting or wallpapering. Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to building codes and safety standards. Collaborate with construction teams to plan drywall installation sequences and resolve any on-site issues. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation requirements. Assist in training and mentoring apprentices or less experienced drywall workers.Benefits:
