Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primers as needed Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and brushes with efficiency and accuracy Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope and specific requirements for each job Perform plastering, stucco application, drywall finishing, and trim carpentry to ensure smooth surfaces before painting Execute renovation and restoration projects by working on existing structures with precision and care Use construction estimating skills to assess materials needed and plan project timelines effectively Maintain safety standards on the construction site by following protocols related to scaffolding, ladder use, welding (if applicable), and hazardous materials Qualifications Proven experience in residential and commercial painting projects with a strong understanding of construction site procedures Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate finishes that meet client specifications Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and equipment such as airless paint sprayers Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately Familiarity with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry, stucco application, and concrete finishing techniques Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities Experience with renovation projects including fixture installation and restoration work Strong understanding of construction estimating principles and project planning skills Additional skills such as welding, industrial painting, maintenance work, or handyman experience are a plus Join us as a Painting Subcontractor to bring craftsmanship and energy into every project!
