Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Painters, Drywallers, and Drywall Finishers to join our dynamic construction team in a sub-contractor role. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming spaces through expert painting, drywall installation, and finishing techniques. Your skills will help bring architectural visions to life while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and safety standards are maintained throughout every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, from commercial buildings to residential remodels, contributing directly to the creation of beautiful, functional spaces. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, taping, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and drywall finish quality Install drywall panels efficiently using hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening Finish drywall joints with taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing to achieve smooth, seamless surfaces ready for painting or further finishing Apply paint, stain, or other finishes with precision to meet project specifications and aesthetic standards Use schematics and blueprints to accurately measure and position drywall components and paint areas accordingly Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely for tasks such as framing, concrete forming, or installation of fixtures Perform touch-ups and repairs on drywall surfaces or painted areas during or after project completion to ensure a flawless finish Collaborate with construction management teams to adhere to project timelines, safety protocols, and quality expectations Requirements Proven experience in construction painting, drywall installation, or finishing with a strong understanding of construction site procedures Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., trowels, putty knives), power tools (e.g., drills, sanders), and specialized equipment for drywall finishing and painting Knowledge of construction management practices including estimating, inspection, and safety standards Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry, plastering, masonry, roofing, electrical work or plumbing is a plus Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills in surface preparation and finishing techniques Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments on various construction sites This is a sub-contractor role and the applicant must be able to provide proof of workman's compensation insurance as well as liability insurance.
