Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and other finishes to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship on every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse sites, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to high-quality building renovations and new constructions. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope, color schemes, and specific finishing details. Apply paint using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray equipment including airless paint sprayers for efficient coverage. Execute construction painting tasks on both interior and exterior surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Perform surface preparation tasks like masonry work, stucco application, drywall finishing, and restoration projects to achieve smooth finishes. Install fixtures and trim carpentry elements such as baseboards, crown molding, or window casings as needed during renovation projects. Use power tools safely for tasks like sanding, grinding, or minor carpentry repairs while maintaining a clean work environment. Skills Extensive experience with construction estimating and understanding project timelines. Strong knowledge of color theory to select appropriate hues for different environments. Proficiency in residential and commercial painting techniques with hands-on experience in construction site environments. Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., putty knives, scrapers) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders). Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing. Familiarity with renovation processes including framing carpentry, fixture installation, restoration work, and remodeling projects. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area or material quantities. Experience with industrial painting methods such as airless spray systems or welding for specialized applications.
