Full-Time (30-35 hours pay starting at $15.00/hour with $20.00/hour when/if proficient)Job Summary:
The Project Technician is responsible for supporting painting, cleaning, and any project-related tasks from preparation to final inspection. This role involves transportation of equipment and tools, surface preparation, painting, cleaning, and conducting maintenance punch lists to ensure proper project completion to a high standard. The ideal candidate will have experience with painting and cleaning, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and with a team to meet project deadlines.Key Responsibilities:
Painting Preparation and Application:
Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, patching, priming, and taping areas to ensure a smooth, even application. Properly protect any surfaces that will not have paint applied to them. Apply paint and finishes according to specifications and quality standards.Maintenance and Punch List Completion:
Inspect projects to identify areas that require touch-ups or fixes. Complete any punch lists. Perform small maintenance tasks, repairs, and adjustments to meet project standards and client expectations.Cleaning and Site Organization:
Clean and organize project sites before, during, and after project completion, including debris removal, surface cleaning, and maintaining a safe and tidy workspace.Project Coordination:
Assist in project planning by coordinating equipment, materials, and resources. Work closely with the Crew Supervisor to monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.Documentation and Reporting:
Document work progress, tasks completed, and any issues or deviations from plans. Maintain detailed project records and communicate updates to the Crew Supervisor.Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure painting tools and other project equipment are clean, operational, and stored properly. Perform minor repairs and regular maintenance as needed.Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and adhere to organizational and regulatory standards for health, safety, and environmental impact.Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in painting or maintenance is a plus.Experience:
1-3 years of experience in painting, maintenance, or a similar role within a project environment.Technical Skills:
Proficiency with painting tools and equipment, including rollers, sprayers, and sanders. Proficiency with cleaning supplies and equipment. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, repair methods, and maintenance tools.Communication Skills:
Clear verbal and written communication skills for accurate reporting and updates. It is a requirement to document all work and submit it to the Documentation team.Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and ensure quality results.Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify and address issues efficiently, especially when completing punch lists and troubleshooting.Teamwork:
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment while following instructions and contributing to project success.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with specific painting techniques and finishes. Familiarity with safety equipment and protocols in a project environment. OSHA 10 hour certification Other relevant safety certificationsWorking Conditions:
This position will involve occasional travel, flexible hours, and working in varied environments based on project requirements. Safety equipment will be required.Job Type:
