In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing touches to drywall surfaces, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet quality standards. Your expertise will help transform raw construction into polished, professional spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to residential developments, contributing to the creation of safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments. Responsibilities Finish drywall surfaces by sanding, taping, mudding, and applying textures to achieve a flawless appearance. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately complete drywall installations and finishing tasks. Operate hand tools and power tools such as taping knives, sanders, drills, and saws safely and efficiently. Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to ensure drywall work aligns with project specifications. Conduct quality inspections of finished surfaces to identify imperfections or defects and make necessary repairs or touch-ups. Assist with related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, or light masonry work when needed. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal to promote safety and efficiency on site. Qualifications Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction roles with a solid understanding of drywall installation processes. Familiarity with construction management software such as Bluebeam is a plus. Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution. Experience working with hand tools and power tools used in drywall finishing and general carpentry. Basic understanding of other trades including electrical, plumbing, roofing, masonry, and concrete finishing enhances versatility. Ability to operate heavy equipment or perform demolition/restoration tasks is advantageous but not required. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to address surface imperfections promptly.
