The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing drywall efficiently and accurately on various types of projects, ensuring high-quality finishes. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, blueprint reading, and site safety protocols. The Drywall Hanger will work closely with other trades to deliver projects on time and within specifications, contributing to the overall success of our construction operations. Responsibilities Measure, cut, and hang drywall panels according to project specifications and blueprints Secure drywall using appropriate fasteners, ensuring proper alignment and finish quality Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall surfaces to achieve smooth, professional results Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation activities Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety standards at all times Read schematics and blueprints to determine layout and installation requirements Assist with related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation as needed Support water damage restoration or mold remediation efforts when required Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation processes Requirements Proven experience in drywall hanging or related construction roles with site experience preferred Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Knowledge of construction estimating, framing, plastering, stucco, metal stud framing, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, and other relevant skills is a plus Familiarity with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and mold remediation is advantageous Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces Handyman experience or skills in carpentry, plumbing (including construction plumbing), masonry, or remodeling are beneficial Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a professional construction environment while contributing to diverse projects.
