Candidates must be dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal applicant will have hands-on experience reading blueprints, framing walls and ceilings with metal studs, and installing, finishing, and repairing drywall systems to industry standards. Duties Measure, cut, and install metal studs, tracks, and framing systems Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and construction drawings Hang, secure, and install sheetrock/drywall on walls and ceilings Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall surfaces for painting or finishing Repair damaged drywall, framing, and ceiling systems as needed Install insulation, backing, and support materials when required Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, scaffolding, and other construction equipment safely Ensure walls, ceilings, and framing are level, plumb, and aligned properly Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow all job site safety procedures Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades on job sites Meet project deadlines while maintaining quality workmanship Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies Perform demolition and removal of existing drywall or framing when necessary Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards Qualifications Previous experience in drywall installation, metal framing, and sheetrock finishing Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights Knowledge of construction safety practices and tools Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team
