This role focuses primarily on interior and exterior residential painting , surface preparation , and basic drywall texture work , with additional responsibilities that include driving a company vehicle and assisting with general remodeling tasks when painting work is not required. Key ResponsibilitiesResidential Painting (Primary Role) Perform interior and exterior painting using brushes, rollers, and sprayers Complete all surface preparation , including masking, sanding, scraping, patching, caulking, and priming Apply and blend basic drywall textures (orange peel, knockdown, patch blending) Mix, thin, and prepare paints/coatings for proper application Protect surrounding finishes and maintain clean, organized work areas Clean and maintain brushes, rollers, sprayers, and related equipment Remodeling Helper Duties (When Not Painting) Assist with demolition, cleanup, and site preparation Support crews with basic tasks in flooring, trim, carpentry, tile, fencing, and general remodeling Load, unload, and stage materials and tools Set up and break down work areas Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites Driving & Logistics Drive a company work truck to transport tools, equipment, and materials Pick up supplies from vendors or the company yard as needed Support daily crew logistics and job‑site coordination Keep the vehicle clean and report maintenance or safety issues promptly Qualifications Experience with residential interior/exterior painting and surface prep Familiarity with sprayers, rollers, brushes, masking, and basic texture techniques Valid driver's license required for driving duties Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
