In this role, you will be responsible for applying joint compound, sanding, and finishing drywall surfaces to create smooth, flawless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will help transform raw construction materials into polished interiors, contributing to the overall aesthetic and durability of our projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, develop your skills in finishing trades, and be part of a collaborative team dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Apply joint compound (mud) to drywall seams, corners, and fastener holes with precision and efficiency Sand and smooth finished surfaces to achieve a seamless appearance, ensuring surfaces are ready for painting or other finishes Tape drywall joints using various taping techniques for optimal adhesion and durability Install corner beads, trims, and other finishing accessories to enhance wall integrity and appearance Inspect completed work for quality control, making necessary touch-ups or corrections as needed Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal throughout the project Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and project completion Requirements Proven experience in drywall finishing, taping, or related construction roles with site experience on commercial or residential projects Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings relevant to drywall installation and finishing Familiarity with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and metal stud framing is highly desirable Ability to read schematics and technical instructions accurately to execute precise finishes Skilled in handling tools such as taping knives, sanders, stilts, and spray equipment like airless paint sprayers when needed Knowledge of water damage restoration processes, mold remediation basics, and fixture installation is a plus Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify surface imperfections early in the process Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to contribute your drywall finishing expertise!
