Job Description

Claveria Painting & Drywall is seeking skilled and dependable drywallers to join our team. Drywallers are responsible for installing, finishing, repairing, and maintaining drywall systems in residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidates take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, follows safety standards, and work effectively with team members to complete projects on schedule. Key Responsibilities Measure, cut, and install drywall panels according to project specifications. Secure drywall to metal or wooden framing using appropriate tools and fasteners. Tape, mud, and finish drywall joints to create smooth surfaces ready for painting or texturing. Repair damaged drywall, including patching holes, cracks, and water-damaged sections. Apply textures and finishes as required by project plans. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Follow all company safety policies and applicable workplace regulations. Coordinate with painters, contractors, and other trades to ensure efficient project completion. Required Qualifications Previous drywall installation and finishing experience preferred. Knowledge of drywall tools, materials, and finishing techniques. Ability to accurately measure and cut materials. Physical ability to lift, carry, and position drywall panels. Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with residential and commercial drywall projects. Familiarity with texture matching and specialty finishes. Basic understanding of painting preparation and finishing processes. OSHA or other construction safety training certifications. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods. Work in varying indoor and outdoor construction environments. Use hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment safely and effectively. Success Factors Produces high-quality finishes with minimal rework. Demonstrates strong work ethic and professionalism. Maintains a safe and organized work environment. Meets project deadlines while upholding company quality standards. Represents Claveria Painting & Drywall positively with clients, subcontractors, and coworkers.
