Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Painter to join our vibrant construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming commercial spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications and industry standards. Your expertise will help bring renovation projects to life, contributing to the aesthetic and functional excellence of various commercial environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to restoration, in a fast-paced and collaborative setting. Duties Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and other application methods. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute painting plans aligned with project specifications. Perform detailed trim carpentry, fixture installation, and stucco work as needed for comprehensive project completion. Conduct surface repairs such as masonry work, concrete finishing, drywall patching, and restoration to ensure smooth finishes. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for efficient job execution. Maintain safety standards on-site by adhering to protocols related to scaffolding, welding (if applicable), and hazardous materials handling. Collaborate with team members including carpenters and handyman specialists to coordinate tasks effectively during remodeling or renovation projects. Assist in the setup and operation of industrial painting equipment when required for large-scale projects. Conduct quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle to ensure finishes meet client expectations and industry standards. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial painting with a solid understanding of construction site procedures and safety practices. Strong knowledge of color theory, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and technical drawings. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, welding (optional), and other relevant tools of the trade. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for material calculations. Skills in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, drywall repair, and concrete finishing are highly desirable. Prior experience in residential painting or industrial painting projects is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights on scaffolding or ladders safely. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with handyman experience for troubleshooting on-site issues during renovation or restoration projects. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Night Shift (Preferred) Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred)
