Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, dependable electrical apprentice to join our field team. This individual will work under the direct supervision of journeyman and master electricians to install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems while progressing through a state-registered apprenticeship program. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is eager to learn the trade, and takes pride in doing quality work. S/he must show up consistently, on time, and ready to work. Successful apprentices demonstrate good listening skills, attention to detail, concern for the exact correctness of their work, follow-through on assigned tasks, and a genuine desire to develop into a skilled commercial electrician. S/he will play a key role in building and maintaining a productive, safe, supportive, and thriving team and work environment. All employees are expected to promote and live out our company values and mission.
What You'll Do:
Assist journeyman and master electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial electrical systems Install conduit, wiring, outlets, switches, panels, lighting, and other electrical components per plans and specifications Pull wire and cable through conduit and cable trays Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications with increasing proficiency Perform layout and rough-in work under supervision Operate hand tools, power tools, and test equipment safely and properly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times Load, unload, and stage materials and equipment on jobsites Identify and communicate potential safety hazards and code concerns to supervising electricians Complete all required trade school coursework on schedule and maintain passing grades Document and track apprenticeship hours accurately across required work categories Support general jobsite needs, including material handling, cleanup, and preparation for inspections

Requirements:
Currently registered in (or willing to immediately enroll in) a Colorado state-approved electrical apprenticeship program and trade school 1-3 years of experience in commercial or residential electrical work Valid Colorado driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders and lifts, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools accurately Own basic hand tools appropriate to current apprenticeship year (company will provide specialty tools and equipment) Reliable personal transportation to jobsites throughout the Pikes Peak region Ability to complete and pass I-9 identity and legal employment authorization
Preferred:
Prior experience in commercial electrical work OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification First Aid/CPR certification Familiarity with NEC code book and commercial electrical terminology Experience reading commercial blueprints and specifications Aerial lift, scissor lift, or forklift certification Prior military background Flexibility to occasionally travel to out-of-town for non-local projects (per-diem & lodging costs would be provided)

Job Type and Expected Hours:
