Aug 24, 2026 Job Description Leeds Elementary School 1:1 Paraeducator (1) 18.75 hours per week Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m.•2:15 p.m.

Hourly Pay Rate:

$24.92•$31.44 based on experience. Start date: August 24, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma, or equivalent. Associates' degree or its equivalent: ParaPro or similar assessment program certificate, or 48 hours college credits preferred. Professional development as required. Experience working with young children.

Must have acceptable MA CORI and SAFIS Fingerprint Background Checks prior to start of employment.

BENEFITS

Benefits and privileges are consistent with the Northampton Association of School Employees (NASE) Paraeducator Unit C Collective Bargaining Agreement Contract. By statute, a Paraeducator working less than 20 hours per week is ineligible to enroll in the city health insurance plan or into the retirement system.
