The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in electrical work, particularly within commercial and industrial environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside skilled electricians, assisting with various electrical tasks on commercial and industrial projects. Duties Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on construction sites. Use hand tools and power tools to cut, strip, and connect wiring according to schematics and blueprints. Support the setup of electrical components for low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to aid in accurate installation and repairs. Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and ensure system integrity. Help with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations, including conduit supports and junction boxes. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and properly handling electrical materials. Skills Prior experience working as an electrical helper or apprentice in industrial or commercial settings. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing devices like ohmmeters. Strong knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems. Familiarity with NEC regulations, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation. Ability to work effectively on construction sites while adhering to safety standards. Experience with framing carpentry related to electrical installations is a plus. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in electrical work.
