Position Summary The DDC Installation Helper works alongside experienced technicians and installers to support the installation of Building Automation Systems (BAS) in commercial and industrial facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in controls, electrical work, or HVAC automation. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, safety-conscious, and enjoys working in a team environment. Key Responsibilities Assist technicians with the installation of Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems and field devices. Pull, label, and organize low-voltage wiring. Assist with mounting control panels, sensors, actuators, and other control equipment. Help install conduit, raceways, and cable supports. Read and follow installation drawings, wiring diagrams, and project instructions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Assist with testing and troubleshooting installed systems. Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment. Document installation progress as directed by project leadership. Follow all company safety policies and job site requirements. Operate company vehicles when authorized. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work on ladders, rooftops, mechanical rooms, and active construction sites. Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to work with hand and power tools. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Drug-free workplace compliance. Preferred Qualifications Experience in construction, electrical, HVAC, low-voltage, or related trades. Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools. OSHA 10 certification. Experience reading blueprints or construction drawings. Interest in electrical systems, controls, or automation technology. Desired Skills Attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. Good verbal communication skills. Ability to learn quickly and take initiative. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Professional attitude when interacting with customers and coworkers.
