Job Summary:
Assembly of Electrical Control Panels. This position is responsible for physical assembly, wiring, and factory acceptance testing of control panels for industrial/marine equipment. The technician will fabricate controls to print, including layout and physical mounting of components to the back panel, wiring of all components, installation of control panel onto equipment, and testing to ensure proper operation. All duties must be performed in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
Dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures Mounting of equipment Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards. Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLC's, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions. Maintain red line drawings mark-ups of changes required during fabrication and communicate back to the production manager. Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of fully constructed control panels
Requirements:
What We Are Looking For:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Technical or Vocational degree/certificate is a plus. Minimum of 3+ Years Electrical Control Panel Construction Attention to detail. Be able to follow directions/instructions. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with a team. Valid Driver's License with a clear driving record. Possession of a Passport is a plus. Basic understanding of Fire Protection Systems. Basic Engineering knowledge. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Requirements:
Operate hand and power tools. Read a tape measure. Read and understand drawings or schematics. Travel to and from jobsites, along with overnight stay. Travel Internationally, required!
Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and outdoor settings, which can potentially expose employees to noise, dust, heat stress, thermal stress, low light conditions, heights, etc. Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed, which would require use of fall protection equipment and other safety devices Capable of using hand and power tools, including specialty tools resulting in cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening and other methods resulting in torque, vibration, noise, etc. Hiller is a drug-free workplace, an equal opportunity employer and ADA compliant.
