Job Description

Job Summary Performs skilled electrical work involving the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, low-voltage equipment, and fixtures throughout airport property. Supports the safe and reliable operation of airfield lighting, jet bridges, fire alarm systems, access control systems, and other electrical infrastructure in compliance with FAA, local, state, and national electrical standards. Duties Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations. Read and interpret approved plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine the most efficient and effective installation and maintenance methods. Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot: Airfield current regulators, signs, series circuits, and ground lighting to ensure Part 139 compliance. Jet bridge electrical systems, PLC controls, ground power units, and PC Air systems. Fire alarm systems (Siemens), access control systems (Hirsch/Identiv), and other low-voltage devices. Use asset management systems to document all work activity. Assist IT and Security departments with troubleshooting and replacement of electronic devices for SIDA doors, gates, and UPS systems. Order, inventory, and maintain electrical supplies and ensure tools and equipment are kept in top condition. Operate and maintain airport maintenance equipment including tractors, mowers, backhoes, dump trucks, snow removal equipment, and ramp sweepers. Perform snow and ice removal operations as required. Conduct routine airfield inspections of runways, taxiways, lighting, and signage to verify operational safety and FAA compliance. Identify and report safety hazards; assist in mitigation and corrective action per the Airport's Safety Risk Management Plan. Provide courteous assistance to tenants and the public when responding to service requests or electrical issues. Perform rotating shift work, holidays, and respond to evening or weekend emergency calls as needed. Experience Proven experience as an Electrician in industrial or commercial settings Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Experience working on construction sites with a focus on renovation projects Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently Previous maintenance person experience is beneficial Strong understanding of AC/DC low-voltage systems and electrical theory. Proficient in fire alarm and access control systems, including Siemens and Hirsch/Identiv systems. Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out, arc flash protection, and proper PPE use. Experience in facility, grounds, and airfield maintenance, and in operating light to heavy-duty automotive and construction equipment. Ability to clearly demonstrate and perform all required duties with minimal supervision.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Arkansas driver's license and insurability to operate airport vehicles and motorized equipment. Graduation from high school or equivalent. Possession of a valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License ;
