Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Journeyman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing complex electrical and construction tasks across a variety of commercial and renovation projects. Your expertise with a minimum of five years experience will ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. As a key player on the construction site, you will demonstrate proficiency with electrical systems, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools, contributing to the successful delivery of our projects from start to finish. We are a drug-free employer, testing will be perfomed. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including low voltage, high voltage, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to accurately execute project plans Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to ensure proper system functionality Perform electrical wiring tasks for commercial buildings and renovation projects in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Assist with framing carpentry and handyman tasks as needed on construction sites Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to ensure safety and code compliance Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other tradespeople to coordinate work activities effectively Requirements Proven experience as a construction journeyman with a strong background in electrical work, including industrial or commercial electrician experience Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately Knowledge of NEC standards, low voltage systems, high voltage safety protocols, and schematics interpretation Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices Experience working on construction sites with a focus on renovation projects or new builds Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and work with industrial electrician systems is highly desirable Strong understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations Skilled in framing carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities Join us as a Construction Journeyman to bring your expertise to exciting projects while advancing your career in a vibrant team environment.
