We offer competitive pay and benefits and are currently looking for a Central Inverter/BESS Technician with Journeyman and C-10 electrical license. Successful candidate should have experience in installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of battery energy storage systems (BESS) integrated with central inverters; however, we will train the right candidate. The position will require extensive travel and extended overnight stays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment including battery racks/modules, power conversion systems (PCS), cooling systems, controllers, and associated electrical components. Conduct scheduled inspections, testing, calibrations, and diagnostics on BESS units in accordance with maintenance procedures and commissioning requirements. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and communication faults within BESS units using standard diagnostic tools to identify root causes and restore system operation. Execute corrective repairs and component replacements to minimize system downtime and maintain operational reliability. Perform safe lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and follow established electrical safety practices when working on BESS equipment. Support commissioning and pre-commissioning activities including system startup, firmware/software updates, configuration verification, and functional testing. Verify system alarms, communications, and operational status during service and commissioning activities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma minimum; associate/bachelor's in electrical engineering or related preferred. Four (4) years of experience installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems Journeyman electrician license required for hands-on electrical work Current C-10 license is preferred; however, if unlicensed, candidate must obtain license within 6 months from date of hire as a condition of employment. Proficiency in BESS components (inverters, batteries, controls), power electronics, electrical safety, SCADA, high-voltage switching (HV/MV/LV), and tools for testing/repair Must be able to pass background check and drug screen. Must have valid driver's license and clean MVR as job requires heavy travel.
