In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure is safe, efficient, and compliant with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring and system setups. Work with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks in industrial settings. Conduct maintenance and upgrades on existing electrical infrastructure during renovations or new construction projects. Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper framing carpentry, conduit routing, and electrical layout integration. Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively and safely. Follow all safety protocols related to construction site work, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Demonstrate handyman skills for minor repairs or adjustments on-site as needed. Skills Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of NEC standards. Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for complex electrical systems. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation controls. Ability to work confidently with hand tools, power tools, power drills, wire strippers, and other essential electrical equipment. Familiarity with low voltage wiring systems as well as high voltage power distribution. Construction site experience including framing carpentry and renovation projects. Strong troubleshooting skills using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to identify faults quickly. Knowledge of schematics for both new installations and system upgrades in commercial or industrial environments. Excellent safety awareness aligned with OSHA standards; capable of maintaining a safe work environment at all times. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and interpreting technical instructions from blueprints or schematics.
