Commercial Service Electrician

• Position Overview:

• We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Service Electrician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in electrical maintenance services. The primary responsibility of this role is to troubleshoot and maintain various electrical systems, with a strong emphasis on 120/240VAC and 277/480VAC systems and associated devices. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our electrical infrastructure.

• Key Responsibilities:

• 1.

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. 2. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions to operations. 3. Conduct testing and diagnostic procedures on 120/240VAC and 277/480VAC systems, as well as associated devices such as motors, transformers, switches, and control panels. 4. Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering teams to develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems. 5. Respond to emergency service calls and resolve electrical problems efficiently to prevent hazards and potential damage to equipment. 6. Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately, including work performed, parts used, and any recommendations for future improvements. 7. Keep abreast of industry developments, new technologies, and best practices in electrical maintenance to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Qualifications:

• 1.

Minimum of three years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a maintenance service role. 2. Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, with a focus on 120/240VAC and 277/480VAC systems. 3. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose electrical issues accurately. 4. Familiarity with a variety of electrical devices and equipment, including motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and relays. 5. Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. 6. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols and procedures. 7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Preferred Skills:

• 1. Certification or licensure as a Journeyman Electrician. 2. Experience working in industrial or commercial settings. 3. Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and regulations. 4. Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools. 5. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.

• Work Environment:

• The Maintenance Service Electrician will primarily work in various industrial or commercial settings, including manufacturing plants, warehouses, office buildings, and other facilities.

The role may involve exposure to hazardous conditions, such as electrical shock, high voltage, and confined spaces. The candidate must adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
