Position Overview:
Power Pros is seeking a State Certified Journeyman Electrician to support installation and construction activities on critical electrical infrastructure projects throughout California. This is not residential work and it is not repetitive commercial tenant improvement work. Our electricians build and install electrical systems that support water delivery, utility operations, substations, pumping plants, and other critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial, utility, or heavy commercial construction environments and takes pride in quality workmanship, professionalism, and safety. Key Responsibilities Install electrical power, control, and protection systems Install three-phase panelboards, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment Install, bend, and support conduit systems including rigid metal conduit (RMC) and electrical metallic tubing (EMT) Install and terminate power and control wiring Read and interpret one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and construction drawings Coordinate daily activities with foremen, superintendents, project managers, and client representatives Maintain exceptional safety, quality, and housekeeping standards Identify and communicate field issues, constructability concerns, and improvement opportunities Required Qualifications Current California State Certified Journeyman Electrician Certification Minimum 4 years of electrical construction experience Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Experience installing conduit systems, conductors, and electrical equipment Ability to travel extensively throughout California Ability to work outdoors and on active construction sites Strong communication skills and professional attitude Preferred Qualifications Utility, substation, pumping plant, or industrial electrical experience Experience bending, threading, and installing rigid metal conduit (RMC) Experience installing and terminating three-phase electrical distribution equipment, including switchboards, panelboards, transformers, transfer switches, and UPS systems.
