Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) Job Description and Duties The Electrician I will be directed by the Electrician Supervisor in Plant Operations at the Department of State Hospitals

• Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:
• Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials required to repair medium voltage electrical.
• Has the ability to perform all functions of a journeyman electrician.
• Operate the emergency generator system and maintain a log demonstrating and documenting this operation.
• Reads, understands and conforms to all Hospital Administrative Directives and Plant Operations policies.
• Understands and operates the High-Voltage Buss Tie System and the secondary feeder system appropriately and in a safe manner.
• Inspects, maintains and repairs pole lines as necessary, and advises on necessary steps to repair problem areas encountered.
• Understands and follows all Division of Industrial Safety and National Electrical Code guidelines when work is being performed in all areas of this facility.
