Job Description
Gridwise Electric is a tech-forward, licensed electrical contractor (C-10 #1146992) based in Marin County. We pair top-tier electricians with a fully digital workflow to deliver fast estimates, clean installs, and five-star service for homeowners across the Bay Area.

//gridwiseelectric.com/ We're hiring an experienced residential journeyman electrician who takes pride in their craft and communicates clearly. This isn't just a task-list role- you'll have real influence on how we build out our residential operation, with a clear path to grow into a foreman position as we scale.
WHO WE ARE
Most shops still run on paper and fuzzy timelines. We built Gridwise to fix what frustrates homeowners most: slow callbacks, vague pricing, and missed expectations—and to give great electricians a place where they can do their best work without the usual headaches. Our founding team includes a longtime Marin general contractor, plus founders who came from tech and consulting (Google, Amazon, McKinsey). We're a young company with big ambitions, and we're looking for people who want to help build something great. Our values:
Kindness Is King- We treat people the way we want to be treated, with kindness and truth. Quality Without Compromise
- We take pride in our craft. Built right, built safe. Always. Ease of Mind
- We make things easy for customers and for the team.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
This is not a back-of-the-truck journeyman gig. You'll run residential work independently, manage jobs from start to finish, and help shape how Gridwise delivers residential electrical services as we grow. Your field insight directly influences how we scope work, schedule crews, and maintain install quality. We're looking for someone who: Sees issues early and communicates them clearly- to the team and to customers Takes ownership of job quality, safety, and finish on every project Thinks like a builder, not just a technician
- you care about how we run, not just what's on today's task list Has an entrepreneurial mindset and wants to help grow a young company, not just collect a paycheck Is ready to step into a foreman role as our residential operation scales
- if you already think like a lead, even without the title, this role is designed to grow with you
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Run residential electrical jobs independently with support as needed- from reading plans and pulling permits to final inspection Install and wire panels, circuits, lighting, EV chargers, smart home systems, and other residential systems Troubleshoot and repair existing electrical systems with accuracy and efficiency Communicate directly with homeowners in a way that's clear, kind, and professional Provide practical field input on scoping, labor, and scheduling to help us estimate and plan better
