Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide 24x7 on-call emergency response and support to maintain building systems and infrastructure integrity and availability Monitor and maintain all building and mission critical facilities equipment Perform daily/weekly/monthly walk-throughs supporting data center and office operations Perform preventive maintenance on all building equipment to ensure efficient operation Ensure Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Chief Engineer receive timely verbal and written operating reports about building systems and preventative maintenance Encourage, train, and evaluate Apprentice's technical and behavioral skills; set professional example

Requirements:

At least one (1) year experience supporting mission critical environments Current electrical Journeyman's license Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill and competence in area of non-expertise (e.g., electrical expertise with mechanical competence, or vice versa) Ability to operate and perform routine and emergency service on state-of-the-art critical systems Knowledge and experience using basic computer applications

Physical Effort/Activities:

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
