This role is essential in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across our facility to ensure optimal operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience, including working with programmable logic controllers, low and high voltage systems, and reading complex schematics. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a dynamic environment committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment throughout the facility. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments. Install, modify, and upgrade electrical wiring, panels, and control systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Program, troubleshoot, and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes. Work on renovation projects involving electrical systems within existing structures or new construction sites. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to high voltage and low voltage electrical work. Collaborate with construction teams and frame carpenters during facility upgrades or modifications. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications for future reference. Assist in training team members on electrical safety procedures and proper use of tools. Skills Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and automation controls. Knowledge of NEC standards for residential, commercial, and industrial wiring practices. Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; as well as diagnostic instruments like ohmmeters. Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical installations. Familiarity with low voltage wiring systems as well as high voltage safety procedures. Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, including NEC regulations. Capable of performing frame carpentry tasks or handyman repairs related to electrical work when necessary. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
