Opens a new window. Description Job Description The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for performing maintenance with a focus on electrical tasks throughout the plant. This includes both scheduled and emergency maintenance activities. Responsibilities Conduct mechanical repairs on pumps, valves, and heat exchangers. Perform electrical repairs on motors and motor starters, including running conduit and pulling wires for new installations. Carry out building repairs and cleaning tasks. Adjust controls such as knobs, valves, switches, and levers on control panels to regulate process variables. Identify malfunctioning units by observing control instruments or responding to automatic warning signals. Inspect equipment to determine the location and nature of malfunctions. Communicate directly with production to coordinate maintenance and repair work. Patrol units to verify safe and efficient operating conditions. Perform preventive maintenance activities as required. Assist with new installations and other projects as requested by the supervisor. Collaborate with contractors to plan and implement the installation of new equipment or systems. Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs. Understand and ensure compliance with city, county, state, and federal maintenance and equipment regulations. Participate in programs and procedures to ensure plant cleanliness. Be available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager. Essential Skills Electrical maintenance experience. Proficiency in maintenance electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, troubleshooting, and wiring. Experience with industrial electrical systems, particularly 480 volt systems, is a plus. Additional Skills & Qualifications Welding skills (MIG/Stick/ARC) are preferred. Experience with maintaining equipment such as screw conveyors, drag conveyors, bucket elevators, bearings, corn flakers, boilers, steam systems, and gearboxes. Dye Operator Job Description The Dye Operator sets up, operates, and monitors production machinery involved in multiple fabrication and dye-related operations. This role focuses on safely running equipment, following precise procedures, and maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. The position is highly hands-on and offers on-the-job training for candidates with prior machine operating experience who are eager to learn and develop new technical skills. Responsibilities- Operate production machinery involved in dye operations and fabrication processes according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform up to eight different operations on the production line, including cutting, drilling, tapping, hard facing, and spraying.
- Set up and run mills for cutting and topping operations, ensuring accurate measurements and proper machine configuration.
- Use drill presses and other related equipment to drill and tap components to specification.
- Carry out hard facing operations once initial machining steps are complete, following defined quality and safety standards.
- Apply spray processes using a torch as part of the finishing or hard facing operations.
- Handle powdering operations with particular care and precision, recognizing this as the most critical part of the process.
- Monitor machines during operation to detect malfunctions or irregularities and make basic adjustments as needed.
- Follow production line workflows to support consistent output and meet daily production targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including basic cleaning and upkeep of machines and tools.
- Follow all safety procedures, use required protective equipment, and immediately report any hazards or equipment issues.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate work, support training activities, and ensure smooth production flow. Essential Skills
- Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to operate and learn various production machines and tools, including mills and drill presses.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with fabrication equipment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Attention to detail, especially when performing critical operations such as powdering.
- Capability to work safely with torches and other heat-related tools once trained.
- Willingness to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures.
- Reliability and consistency in attendance and performance on a production line. Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with mills and mill setup is highly beneficial but not required, as training is provided.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including identifying root causes such as failed sensors and understanding how these failures affect machine performance.
- Perform light electrical troubleshooting, including changing motors and wiring as needed under appropriate safety guidelines.
- Use MIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel components; apply TIG welding skills if available.
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems to maintain and repair associated equipment.
- Service and maintain centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, ensuring reliable operation.
- Safely operate hand tools such as grinders and drills, as well as forklifts and related equipment, to support maintenance tasks.
- Comply with OSHA health and safety rules and follow all site-specific safety procedures and guidelines.
- Support packaging and filling operations by maintaining packaging equipment, fillers, and related mechanical systems.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting across various production lines, including bottling and blow molding equipment.
- Assist with general facility tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, and organizing work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to support juice extraction, processing, filling, and plastics operations as needed.
