Position Summary The Program Director oversees the Electrician Technician training program, ensuring high‑quality instruction, regulatory compliance, and strong student outcomes. This role manages faculty, maintains curriculum standards, and supports the overall success and growth of the program. Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations of the Electrician Technician program, including scheduling and program planning. Ensure compliance with institutional policies, state licensing requirements, and accreditation standards. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate instructional staff. Maintain and update curriculum, labs, tools, and electrical training equipment. Support student retention, completion, and job‑readiness initiatives. Collaborate with Career Services to strengthen employer partnerships and placement opportunities. Manage program budgets, inventory, and safety protocols. Coordinate advisory board meetings and integrate industry feedback. Qualifications Extensive experience in the electrical field, including installation, maintenance, or industrial/commercial systems. Strong knowledge of NEC codes, safety standards, and industry best practices. Leadership or supervisory experience in education, training, or technical environments. Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred:
Journeyman or Master Electrician license, teaching experience, or related degree/certifications. Work Environment Combination of office, classroom, and hands‑on lab settings. Requires adherence to safety protocols and occasional lifting or equipment handling. Regular interaction with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
