Position Summary:
Redwood Beverage Group LLC is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented PLC Technician to join our manufacturing and industrial maintenance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and associated automation systems to ensure seamless production operations. Your expertise will support the installation, calibration, and repair of complex electrical and mechanical systems, contributing to the efficiency and safety of our manufacturing processes. Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment, including but not limited to the following: AS-I Net Conductivity Meters Device Net Flow Meters Fill Level Detection Label Presence High Speed Coders HMIs I/P Transducers Level Transmitters PLC Controllers
PLC I/O PID
Loops RTD/Thermocouple Valve Positioners VFDs X-ray Product Inspection Program, modify, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), with a strong focus on Allen-Bradley system. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Perform Electrical and Mechanical preventative maintenance inspections and corrective work orders to ensure maximum equipment up time. Install, program, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for precise motor control and energy efficiency. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure minimal downtime and continuous operational improvements. Adhere to all safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), Arc Flash, and relevant electrical codes. Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs, modifications, and maintenance tasks and detailed pass down logs. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in High-Speed Manufacturing. Proven experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Including program modifications. Demonstrated experience with Rockwell Automation software, including RSLogix 5000 / Studio, RSLogix 500, and FactoryTalk View Studio. Demonstrated experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting VFDs is required. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 3-phase circuits, and motor evaluation and diagnostics. Strong knowledge of industrial Ethernet, DeviceNet and RS485 network / communication systems. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to down equipment calls immediately.
