The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, particularly in commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, as well as the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings according to blueprints and schematics. Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform electrical work safely and efficiently. Conduct inspections of electrical systems using voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment. Troubleshoot high voltage and low voltage electrical issues, ensuring prompt resolution. Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements. Ensure compliance with NEC standards and local building codes throughout all work performed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Experience Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations. Familiarity with high voltage systems, low voltage systems, logic controllers, and NEC regulations. Experience working on commercial projects is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
