POSITION OVERVIEW

The Electrical Technician (ET) is essential to the successful execution of 1Lift's business operation. The ET provides field installation labor for electrical systems and fire alarm infrastructure; supports the Technical Operations team with designing and managing specialty trade-related projects and the associated vendors that are hired; and assists, as needed, with projects where 1Lift needs "extra" hands to help with other specialty trade work, such as fire blocking. The ET spends most of their time in the field with occasional time at 1Lift's corporate office in Erie, CO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Electrical Installation Surveys o Evaluates 3 phase power and line voltage switches. o Disconnects elevator or motor and lighting installation in elevator machine rooms and hoistways. o Creates single line diagram depicting the electrical feed to an elevator or motor. Fire Alarm Installation o Assists with the installation of a range of fire alarm materials and components to support elevator recall functions; including but not limited to conduit, boxes and SLC wire, smoke detectors, heat detectors, addressable modules, and addressable interfaces. o Installs fire alarm components for general building projects that are not necessarily related to elevator modernizations. Project Management o Assists Project Managers (PMs) with scheduling, gathering information from jobsites, and procuring required materials. o Manages assigned specialty trade subcontractors, including but not limited to providing PMs with information for weekly status reports and performing regular project site visits. Professional Development o Identifies and participates in continuing education opportunities that contribute to 1Lift staying ahead of its competition; for example, maintaining expertise in NFPA 70 and 72. Vendor Relationships and Networking o Develops and maintains relationships with vendors 1Lift utilizes to perform the scope of work required on projects that have been awarded within the region. Customer Relationships and Networking o Develops and maintains positive, professional working relationships with 1Lift customers' mechanics and superintendents. Quality Management o Ensures 1Lift subcontractors' performance is consistently professional and delivered with a high standard for quality. o Assists 1Lift PMs to close out each job with a quality punch list and ensures that 1Lift subcontractors re-perform any work that does not meet 1Lift quality standards or requirements by the Area Having Jurisdiction. Health, Safety, and Environmental Management o Ensures that work performed by 1Lift subcontractors is always completed safely and champions both 1Lift and client requirements. o Embraces best practices and assists 1Lift in the continued development of its HSE standards. o Performs random safety audits to ensure proper use of PPE and that 1Lift subcontractors adhere to 1Lift and their own HSE requirements. o Responsible for all personal safety while operating on any job site. Ensures that hard hats, vests, ear and eye protection are worn as required.

Pay:

$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
