Job Description

Overview An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial properties. This includes wiring, electrical panels, lighting systems, outlets, and related electrical equipment. The Electrician ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local electrical codes and regulations while providing quality customer service and solutions. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, lighting, outlets, breakers, and electrical panels Diagnose electrical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on electrical systems Repair or replace defective electrical components such as switches, circuit breakers, wiring, and fixtures Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams Ensure compliance with safety standards and local electrical codes Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functionality Maintain accurate service records and documentation Provide excellent customer service and explain electrical issues, repair recommendations, and available solutions to clients Provide customers with electrical solutions and recommendations based on system needs, safety, and efficiency Respond to emergency electrical service calls as needed Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as an electrician or similar role Knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and troubleshooting techniques Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints Strong problem-solving and communication skills Physical ability to lift equipment and work in various environments Valid driver's license Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred Preferred Certifications State or local electrical license as required OSHA safety training preferred Working Conditions Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions May involve working at heights or in confined spaces Requires use of hand and power tools May require on-call, evening, or weekend shifts depending on employer needs
Pay:
$20.00 - $35.00 per hour
