Take the next step in your career with us! Position Specific Description Employees will support a portfolio of projects across the region . The ideal candidate will live within the region of Colorado to support the travel schedule. This position requires 100% travel availability. Employees in this role perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on inverters, trackers, energy storage systems, high voltage systems, control systems and other associated equipment. Individuals understand the solar and energy storage mechanisms, including both electrical and maintenance of inverters, of all solar and energy storage components. This position replaces mechanical and electrical components, understands schematics and controls systems and uses appropriate diagnostic tools. The successful candidate will interpret fault reports, maintain power generation reports, service logs in the computer database, and monitor inverter and energy storage systems performance and SCADA systems. Performs regular preventative maintenance and repair on solar and energy storage power generation equipment Completes advanced electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting Maintains all company supplied equipment, facilities, and tooling Applies advanced understanding of the technical and process functions including leadership competencies Serves as a safety champion for the fleet Coaches new technicians on safety, solar and energy storage systems Serves as qualified reliever in the absence of site management Leads teams in Quality Improvement (QI) projects Provides oversight to other personnel and acts as a Safety Mentor Completes special projects or complex task assignments Ability to meet attendance requirements Performs other job-related duties as assigned Applications accepted through - 4/13/2026 Job Overview The Site Technician will support the Regional Manager or designee to ensure the perfect execution of the PGD processes. Site Technicians in a solar region perform duties in the following but are not limited to safety, contractor management, electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, overall site operations, asset management and regulatory compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management. Job Duties & Responsibilities Reliability engineering Warranty management Operation and basic maintenance Electrical and power electronics troubleshooting and repairs Safety and Environmental program stewardship Supervisory duties of NEE employees and contractors Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs Business duties and Inventory management Heavy equipment operation Regulatory compliance Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Grad /
GED Experience:
4+ years Valid Driver's License (NON CDL) Preferred Qualifications Trade School Graduate Licensed Electrician Licensed Master Electrician Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified The base pay range for this position is $43.85 to $65.77 per hour. This range represents the expected base pay for a successful candidate and is based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and internal equity.
