In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations while adhering to all safety standards and electrical codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience in the electrical trade. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Collaborate on construction sites to install wiring, conduit, panels, and other electrical components for new builds or renovations. Maintain safety protocols at all times by following OSHA guidelines and utilizing proper personal protective equipment. Assist with the installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment for industrial applications. Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings related to industrial or commercial electrical systems. Contribute to project planning by providing accurate estimates of materials and time requirements based on blueprints and schematics. Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification required; additional certifications in industrial or commercial electrical work are a plus. Proven experience working as an electrician in industrial, commercial, or construction environments. Strong knowledge of NEC standards, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics reading. Proficiency with hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills and saws; as well as testing devices like ohmmeters. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and automation systems preferred. Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed technical instructions. Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability in various environments including renovation projects. Familiarity with framing carpentry or handyman skills is advantageous for versatile project support. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently. Strong commitment to safety practices aligned with OSHA regulations; ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required.
